…aaaand that’s both a bit sad, but also super fun.
I am working on several projects simultaneously. Norwegian comic book author (one of the finest) Kim Holm, amongst others, hired me to create all his four web sites, which is an honor.
A big company hired me, and my friend and colleague, Pivi, to make a couple of illustrations and a tiny site with some jQuery and php, aaaaand some 3D and flash stuff. I think we’re a pretty good team…considering going all design company together.
Still…I wish I could take a week off…which I probably will do when the biggest project is finished. Deadline is mid of August…so… hang in there, …me.
First of all, Twitter is the best site for sharing cool stuff and getting in contact with awesome folks from all over the World, and you do not have the same weird pseudo social weirdness contracts as with a facebook account. Also Twitter is perfect for comedians to test new material and for whoever to share their work. Anyways and bla bla etc. I just found this awesome video via Twitter (maybe not the most practical and fastest way to print your documents, but surely the most awesome way):
Thanks tanketom for RT-ing the coolest printer in the World (not counting the 3D printer of course).
This is incredible and I haven’t laughed so hard in ages…so…now I wanted to share the joy with you.
The designer used Apple’s Photo Booth as an inspiration for the mask.
“[...]the idea was to take the 2D image that it manipulated and create a tangible face in a real environment, then in turn bring it back into a 2D image. Using Photo Booth on the mask itself may create some sort of paradoxal shift where I cease to exist.”
I can only imagine that it takes more than just a couple of hours to create such a mask. I’m really impressed by this kind of work.
I’ve been awfully quiet those past couple of days, but I promise some new drawings soon. But first there’s 2 nearly finished web sites to work on, 4 conference papers to review, the thesis to write AND my head is full of illus.
Life as a busy bee is awesome…just the prioritizing doesn’t go too well. I’d much rather work on the illus right now but gots to write.
Well..I guess I’ll just have to throw in some of those magical wee hour workings and we’ll have those drawings up in no time.
I am still in the south of Norway (without my computer), but will return to Bergen (and to my computer) tonight. Tomorrow I’ll have to work late, so I won’t be working on my illustrations until Thursday, I guess.
Still, even though there was a lot to do during this little vacation, I managed to draw a little. I’ll work on the sketches when I get the time (hopefully on Thursday) and I’ll post some updates here asap.
My Photoshop fingers are itching and I bet my PC misses me as much as I miss him – sweet, sweet Roy <3.
OK, considering the previous illu (which is of a cat) and this post…I may seem like a crazy cat lady. Well…maybe I am. But still – if you don’t think the mystical cat is funny you’re just not a very humorous person, I guess…
