ABOUT ME

I am a little German, also called Tini Malitius, and I work as a freelance illustrator and web designer. I live in Bergen, Norway with my boyfriend, our awesome cat Herr Pusbær (Mr. Catberry) and my computer Roy.

I have an MA-degree in “Digital Culture” from the University of Bergen, Norway, where I’ve specialized in User Interface- and Web Design.

As most others I like caffeine, Michael Palin, movies, plants, spaghetti, Monty Python, colors, and loads of other stuff.

Because I love bringing characters to life with a little color and a couple of strokes of the brush most of my work evolves around character design and type , but I create logos and illustrations for books, magazines, animations, web sites and greeting cards just as well.

My inspiration comes from old Lucas Arts Games, ye olde 60′s cartoons such as the Jetsons, newer cartoons such as  Ren & Stimpy and Dexter’s Lab, but also from my heroes William Hanna & Joseph Barbera (aka Hanna-Barbera) and Dave Perillo (who is so totally bestest), the Brothers Grim’s stories and movies such as “The Birds” and my all time favourite “Rear Window“.

Last but not least, most inspiration comes from my friends, the world’s best brother, my wonderful parents and my super duper awesome boyfriend Jan Frode (aka JFL JFL Kjempe godt!), our super cool cat Herr Pusbær and people’s odd quirks.
